is Marching On"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>March is also a celebration of reading<\/strong> and Dr. Seuss in many of the schools in our area. \u00a0To coordinate with that, <strong><em>we distributed the books we bought &#8212; one for each of the 79 students &#8212; for the students at Sandwich Central School.<\/em><\/strong> \u00a0What a treat to see them all at the assembly in their Cat-in-the-Hat hats. \u00a0The school also let John and I wear one when we went into a classroom afterwards to read a Dr. Seuss book the Primary Multiage Class. \u00a0Peter and Kathy Allen also read a Dr. Seuss book to the Middle Multiage Class.<\/p>\n\r\n\t<div class=\"slideshow_container slideshow_container_style-light\" style=\"height: 200px; \" data-slideshow-id=\"1054\" -->\r\n\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\r\n\n<p>And speaking of reading&#8230;.on three Wednesdays in March Lions Pat K., Joe, Sally, and Dawn were<strong> read to by MCS students<\/strong> in the two Kindergarten classes. \u00a0On one Wednesday Dawn and Sally were treated to the second grade students reading us the book reviews they had just finished writing and then being read a selection of their favorite books. \u00a0The pride in their eyes at their accomplishments was a joy to behold.<\/p>\n\r\n\t<div class=\"slideshow_container slideshow_container_style-light\" style=\"height: 200px; style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Red Cross blood drive<\/strong><\/span> at the Club. \u00a0Coordinated by President Mark Cotrupi, Sally Sibulkin, Peter Strople, and John Menken helped facilitate the drive. \u00a0Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate. \u00a0It started snowing around 9:30 and we got 6 inches of wet, heavy snow, which deterred walk-in donors. \u00a0However, 31 donors did
