It was so good to finally see some members in person and get caught up on their lives for the past five months.  Everyone brought his or her own chair, mask, and snacks and we enjoyed the sun and conversation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"631\" src=\"http:\/\/moultonboroughlions.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/IMG_6361-3-1024x631.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1917\" srcset=\"http:\/\/moultonboroughlions.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/IMG_6361-3-1024x631.jpeg 1024w, http:\/\/moultonboroughlions.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/IMG_6361-3-300x185.jpeg 300w, http:\/\/moultonboroughlions.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/IMG_6361-3-768x473.jpeg 768w, http:\/\/moultonboroughlions.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/IMG_6361-3-487x300.jpeg 487w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption>12 of the 15 members who attended the get together<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We continue to water and weed our adopted spot, Sutherland Park.  Some individual members  also contributed large print books and reading glasses to Speare Memorial\u00a0 Hospital for patient use (especially for elderly COVID patients and others unable to receive visitors during the quarantine). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> The Moultonborough Lions have continued to aid people in the community individually (with eyeglasses), and in groups with monetary donations<strong> <\/strong>to the Loon Center, Canine Companions for Independence, and  gift cards and needed items to David\u2019s House in August.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have taken advantage of the warm days of August and in addition to our monthly zoom meeting, we met socially outside the building.
