{"id":790,"date":"2016-04-20T19:08:41","date_gmt":"2016-04-20T19:08:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/moultonboroughlions.org\/?p=790"},"modified":"2016-04-20T19:08:41","modified_gmt":"2016-04-20T19:08:41","slug":"april-events","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/moultonboroughlions.org\/?p=790","title":{"rendered":"April Events"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thanks to the effort and organizational skills of VP Mark Cotrupi, we completed two OKS vision screenings this month. \u00a0On Thursday, April 14, Mark, Don Trudeau, and Sally Sibulkin <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">screened 97 third and fifth grade students at Pleasant Street Elementary School<\/span><\/strong>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/moultonboroughlions.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_1679-1.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-792\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-792 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/moultonboroughlions.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_1679-1-300x110.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1679\" width=\"452\" height=\"174\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>and then on Tuesday, April 19 six Moultonborough Lions (Mark Cotrupi, Don Trudeau, Sally Sibulkin, Jeni Williams, Kathy Allen, and John Menken), two Wolfeboro Lions (John Adams and Brian Murphy), and Lois Smith from the Laconia\/Gilford Lions Club<strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> screened 392 students at Laconia Middle School<\/span><\/strong>. \u00a0It was almost a day-long project and it was nice to collaborate with individuals from other Lions Clubs in the area.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/moultonboroughlions.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_1683.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-789\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-789 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/moultonboroughlions.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_1683-300x170.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1683\" width=\"407\" height=\"236\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>That is almost 500 students screened in two days !!!!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Also coming up in April is the <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>Route 25 roadside clean-up<\/strong><\/span>. \u00a0Look for more information from Kay Peranelli about this event that will take place on <strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Saturday, April 30<\/span><\/strong>. \u00a0Come join us make five miles in Moultonborough something we can be proud of. \u00a0Call or e-mail Kay to sign up.<\/p>\n<p>At the April dinner meeting, nominations for officers for the <strong>2016-17<\/strong> Lions year were presented and voted upon. \u00a0Following is the <strong>list of officers for the coming year:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: center;\">*President: Mark Cotrupi<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: center;\">*1<sup>st<\/sup> Vice President: John Menken<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: center;\">*2<sup>nd<\/sup> Vice President: Peter Allen<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: center;\">*Secretary: Sally Sibulkin<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: center;\">*Treasurer: Joe Keegan<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: center;\">*Immediate Past President: Jenifer Williams<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: center;\">*Board of Directors: Jack Weinmann (2 years) Don Trudeau (2 years), Dawn Law (2 years), Marion Powers (1), Kay Peranelli (1), and Mike Lancor (1), Peter Strople (1)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: center;\">Tail Twister: Anne Forts and Pat Keegan<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: center;\">*Lion Tamer: Pat Keegan<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: center;\">*Membership Committee Chairman: Joanne Lau<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em><strong>Coming up in May<\/strong><\/em>: \u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Business Meeting on Monday, May<\/span> 2 ), and the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">monthly dinner meeting on May 16\u00a0(with a presentation about the Annie Up Fund Trust).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Also, we will be going to help <strong>clean up around <span style=\"color: #00ccff;\">Camp Pride<\/span><\/strong> on three weekend days in May &#8212;
