It has been a cold and windy month and as of the first full week in April, winter is not ready to quite give up. Bingo had to be canceled on the first Tuesday of the month because of the weather, but was open the other four Tuesdays in the month.
We kicked off our Reading in the Schools 2025-26 school year, by distributing about 250 books at Moultonborough Central school. Each student from pre-school through grade five received an individual book (selected by their classroom teachers and librarian). Books from each grade level were also left in the library and the classroom teachers received a book. It makes us happy to see the joy of books and of reading on their faces.

Eyeglass Collecting
Lion Don T. continues to collect eyeglasses that are no longer used by their owners to be checked over and distributed to people in third world countries. Just recently, he packaged 471 eyeglasses to be sent first to Virginia and then overseas. Thank you to all who drop off eyeglasses at MVSB in Moultonborough and Center Harbor, The Sandwich Library, Moultonborough Town Hall, Four Your Eyes Only and at the receptacle outside of the Function Hall in Moultonborough.
