Foliage season is here and the colors are better than the last two years. Hope people are looking forward to Columbus Day Weekend and the Sandwich Fair.

And speaking of Columbus Day, we will be selling raffle tickets for our $5,000 prize on Saturday, October 10 from 9:30 to 2:30. This will be our last in person sales at Heath’s for the year. Towards the end of the month we will be mailing out raffle letters. And then our last sales will be at the Holiday Fair at Moultonborough Academy on Saturday, December 5 — until we pick the winning ticket!

We will be starting vision screening in the area schools soon. And we have placed mums at Sutherland Park. Did you notice the new varnish/stain on the picnic table? There is still time to use it before the weather turns.

We are also hoping to sponsor a Recreation Department basketball team.
