This OCTOBER is a special month for the Moultonborough Lions Club; it is the 50th Anniversary of the beginning of the club.  We will be celebrating with a special dinner on Saturday October, 26.  The dinner will be catered by Curt’s Caterers, with a sit-down, plated diner of either Baked Stuffed Shrimp  or Prime Rib.  President Naomi Strickland will be sending out invitations and reservations forms or you can sign up at the October business meeting.  The social hour will begin at 6 pm, followed by dinner at 7:00.  Hope to see everyone there!  If anyone has any photos I can use to develop a pictorial history of the club, please let me know (sarlene98@roadrunner.com) and/or e-mail any digital photos.

The Business Meeting will be held on Monday, October 7  and will begin at 7:00.

On Friday, October 4 the Lions Club will be host to the Red Cross Blood Drive.  Lions are needed to assist and can volunteer by getting in touch with secretary Pat Strickland.  The hours of the Blood Drive are from one to six in the afternoon, and while appointments are not necessary, they are recommended.

This year we will have two dates for getting the Raffle letters ready for mailing — otherwise know as the “stuffing party.”  The first will be on Friday, October 18th from 9:00 – 11:00 am and the second will be the following Friday, October 25th, from 10:00 – noon.  The more people who volunteer to help, the more fun and the quicker we can accomplish the task.  Contact Eileen Zewski (erzewski@gmail.com) if you can help either date or both, or sign up at the Business Meeting.
